The Brief
Berkley wanted to replace their old website with a new responsive design paying particular attention to the mobile phone user experience while visiting the website. Berkley's service offering is extensive and sometimes complex. This service offering was to be presented in such a way that customers would be able to get a quick understanding of what was being said about a particular service. An E-Commerce solution was also to be integrated into the website so that customers could buy their licenses online.
Our Approach
A contemporary look was selected for the new website. We integrated a news plugin into the website which allows the authors to hash tag news articles, this in itself wouldn't be very special. In this case however when certain hash tags are used the content of these news articles will appear on specific service pages that these hash tag relate to. This is a great way of keeping content fresh accross the website and educating customers further on how a specific service offering is being used.
The Result
The website went live in January 2015. Google Analytics has shown that there is a significant increase in visitor numbers and session duration. We've measured a steady increase on Google's rankings for search terms that were outset in the SEO strategy. Very postive feedback has been received from customers and employees that have used the new website. In May 2015 Berkley merged with the ISEC7 Group which required the website to be re-branded.
